Job Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Pulmonary/Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse is responsible for assessing, treating and evaluating clients for pulmonary/cardiac rehabilitation, including bio/psycho/socio/spiritual needs, exercise, education, and counseling within their scope of practice according to departmental policies and procedures. The nurse must assess the effectiveness and responses to interventions and document according to established standards. The nurse must be able to quickly and effectively respond to medical emergencies in a clinic setting and may be required to assist with scheduling, clinic clerical tasks, and quality improvement activities.
PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS
All RN's must be a graduate of an accredited
nursing program and must be currently
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of
Maryland or license eligible.
1 year experience in a cardio/pulmonary rehab
3 years acute care, critical care or emergency dept. nursing.
Knowledge of cardiac dysrythmias
BSN or BS in health related field.
ACLS certification required by completion of
90 provisional period.
